I can't see there being any summer shows in the UK this year which is a great shame and a bit frustrating, but hey ho thats up to the band.

Just hope they don't forget us in the winter.

It will be too late for folk to get accomodation if there is anything in the summer now . Also too late to get holidays when you want them .

This sadly is the frustrating thing about Runrig. Patience is a virtue indeed as Skyeman has said but getting the leave and accomadation requires notice. I do agree with Craig though that Runrig have given us some cracking gigs and I am positive there will be something announced soon.

I have managed to miss quite a few big summer gigs due to having just booked a summer holiday somewhere completely different.

We mostly go camping and cycling so at least we are a bit more flexible most times - although a Runrig gig in Lerwick during the second or third week in July would be good for us - that really would make a good holiday brilliant!

I would rather they spent the time recording a new album this summer.

The problem they have about announcing shows, especially if it is not ‘their’ show (Scone, etc) is that they have to wait until the promoters/organisers are ready to announce before they can. It must be very frustrating for the band and management as well as us!

If something is organised for this summer, lets hope it will be announced soon so fans can make suitable arrangements. In the meantime, I hope Calum and Rory have been busy writing the next masterpiece!!

Well, I hope if they do organise a home tour it won't clash with my RSPB volunteering. If it did, it would be disappointing. The thought of missing a runrig gig these days is unbearable!

We had over a year to plan for Scone though Craig.

Exactly Willie - they announced it at the end of the Edinburgh concert gig. They could do that because it was 'their' gig - they organised it so they could announce it when they wanted. If they are playing a festival or such like then they have to wait until the event organisers are ready to announce. Very frustrating!
